Hitting
Zink never has been a patient hitter. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Zink when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. You can expect Al Zink to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
He might not deliver for you at the plate, but Zink can certainly deliver in the field. He is an exceptional fielder. His arm is accurate enough. Zink is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.

2014 Outlook
If Zink doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
