Hitting
Whiting has quick hands and is able to cover the entire plate. He doesn't perform well against right-handed pitching. He uses the entire field and has gap power.

Baserunning & Defense
He steals a few bases with his combination of quickness and a decent first step. He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. His arm is accurate enough.

Whiting is in charge when he's at the plate.
