This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
Welch isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. When you play Welch you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough.

2014 Outlook
One has to wonder what Zack Welch is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors.
