Ray Wehmeier
Third Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
In past seasons, Wehmeier has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Wehmeier is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Ray Wehmeier to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. His arm is accurate enough. Wehmeier doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a handful of bases each season without getting caught very often.
