Hitting
Voyles quickly learned that he could drive the ball out the opposite way. That knowledge has made him a better hitter because he now uses the entire field. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. His strength is in the gaps.

Baserunning & Defense
Voyles isn't a fluid catcher, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. Voyles is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
