Pitching
He's got a really stong arm, so he can blow it by you on occasion. Tofanelli can get into trouble with walks, and there's concern about him being able to maintain his stuff over the whole season. Tofanelli's fastball is a tick above average, in the 90-91 MPH range on most nights. He has an above-average changeup and the ability to throw from a variety of arm angles. He's almost as effective against lefthanders as he is versus righthanders.

Defense & Hitting
Tofanelli's move to first base is average. He gets off the mound fairly quickly and his throws to first are hard. Tofanelli is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Tofanelli has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Houston RedNexx have been known to use Tofanelli as a pinch-runner on occasion.
