Hitting
He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. The book on Tinnell is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Dolf Tinnell to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical. Minor league scouts have accused Tinnell of being a liability in the field. Dolf's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
