Pitching
His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. He has an above-average changeup and the ability to throw from a variety of arm angles. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.

Defense & Hitting
His pickoff move is merely average. Templeton is nothing special in the field. Templeton is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Templeton has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Detroit Polar Bears have been known to use Templeton as a pinch-runner on occasion.
