Scott Stone
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. The book on Stone is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Stone always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
Stone isn't a fluid catcher, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal.
