Bob Stewart
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Pitching
He can get groundballs when he needs them in a jam. The Retired or Inactive Players hope he can work on his control a little bit. Every once and a while one slips away from him and either ends up at the backstop or in the right field bleachers. Sometimes I wish he'd just give up on throwing the changeup, it's like a BP ball! You know, some times I think I can throw harder than Stewart, and that's saying a lot. He's almost as effective against lefthanders as he is versus righthanders. He struggles away from home.

Defense & Hitting
His slow delivery makes him fairly easy to steal upon, but Stewart helps himself by holding runners with throws to first, and with slide steps and varied deliveries to home. Stewart is nothing special in the field. Stewart is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Stewart has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Stewart as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2014 Outlook
But if you ask me, I'll pass on Stewart.
