Hitting
One of Starr's strongest assets is his performance with men in scoring position. Ryan Starris Mr. Clutch. The book on Starr is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Starr always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is accurate enough. Starr doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a handful of bases each season without getting caught very often.
