Hitting
In past seasons, Smith has been a bit of a liability with men on base. Smith always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Smith plays a near-flawless right fielder, making very few errors. His arm is slightly above average with a quick release. Smith isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out.
