Ed Sanchez
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
In past seasons, Sanchez has been a bit of a liability with men on base. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Let's face facts: Sanchez hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Sanchez when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. He's a straight pull hitter whose power extends from the rightfield gap to the line.

Baserunning & Defense
He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. His arm is accurate enough. His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal.
