Hitting
Pillette seems to become especially focused in big situations. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is accurate enough. Pillette is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.

2014 Outlook
If Pillette doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
