Periakos always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is accurate enough. Periakos isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.

2014 Outlook
In two full big league seasons, Periakos already has done more than what scouts projected when he came out of college.
