Hitting
In past seasons, Nipper has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Nipper is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Nipper always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Nipper you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough. Nipper often has trouble scoring from second base on singles and goes from first to third only on hits to right field.
