Pitching
When sportscasters talk about Nelson's rubber arm, they're not kidding. Sometimes I think he can start both games of a double header! His fastball is just average, and therefore he relies heavily on placing it in different parts of the strike zone. He has an above-average changeup and the ability to throw from a variety of arm angles. His composure needs work. When Nelson starts getting hit, he gets mad and loses concentration. He's almost as effective against lefthanders as he is versus righthanders.

Defense & Hitting
Nelson has one of the better pickoff moves among big league righthanders. As with everything else, Nelson is methodical with his fielding. What he lacks in style, he makes up for with consistency.

2014 Outlook
Nelson performance in AAA is making it difficult for the Morocco Mayhem to ignore him much longer. Expect his name to be on the September call-up list. I really like what this guy brings to the table.
