Hitting
One of Myers's strongest assets is his performance with men in scoring position. Dean Myersis Mr. Clutch. Myers never has been a patient hitter. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Myers doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often. When you play Myers you're not putting him in for his glove. Dean's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
