This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Jim Mountain to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
Mountain is a poor defensive catcher. His weak, erratic throwing arm is his greatest liability. He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical.
