Alan Mesa
Second Baseman | Free Agents

Hitting
The book on Mesa is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Mesa always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
His arm and range are average, and he has a tendency to get lazy with his feet. Mesa isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.
