Pitching
McThurr also has a decent changeup. He walks too many hitters and throws too many pitches. In his first taste of the majors, he has kept lefthanders in check but wasn't as effective against righties.

Defense & Hitting
His move to first base continues to be erratic, resulting in poor throws at times. McThurr comes off the mound hard toward the third base side on his delivery, making it difficult for him to field balls to the right side or to cover first base on a close play.

2014 Outlook
AA isn't the right place for McThurr. Expect the Paris Isotopes to send him down for some minor retooling. I just don't know if The Paris Isotopes are ever going to get what they expect out of him.
