McGlaughlin always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit McGlaughlin when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is accurate enough. McGlaughlin is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.

2014 Outlook
If McGlaughlin doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
