This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. The Free Agents do tend to sit Mapel when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
His arm and range are average, and he has a tendency to get lazy with his feet. Mapel isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out.
