Hitting
In past seasons, Malph has been a bit of a liability with men on base. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Rolf Malph to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
Malph doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often. When you play Malph you're not putting him in for his glove. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.
