This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Chad Malay to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
Malay plays mostly right field, where his mediocre range and throwing arm are less than ideal. He'd be better off in left. Malay often has trouble scoring from second base on singles and goes from first to third only on hits to right field.
