John Mahlmeister
Starting Pitcher | Dublin Deadbeat Drunks
Pitching His slider is sharp and breaks both horizontally and vertically. Mahlmeister can get into trouble with walks, and there's concern about him being able to maintain his stuff over the whole season. His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. Mahlmeister also has a decent changeup. His stuff becomes less sharp as he gets into the late innings. Mahlmeister is a flyball pitcher susceptible to the home run. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.
Defense & Hitting Mahlmeister does an average job of holding runners. Mahlmeister is nothing special in the field.
