Pitching
He can get groundballs when he needs them in a jam. The Free Agents hope he can work on his control a little bit. Every once and a while one slips away from him and either ends up at the backstop or in the right field bleachers. You know, some times I think I can throw harder than Leiter, and that's saying a lot. Leiter has no endurance. He's good for an inning an outing, tops. But Leiter, do us a favor. Stop throwing that changeup. It looks like a beachball. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.

Defense & Hitting
He fields both bunts and slow groundballs in front of the plate equally well. Leiter does a very poor job of holding baserunners because of his deliberate move to home plate. Leiter is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Leiter has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Free Agents have been known to use Leiter as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2014 Outlook
But if you ask me, I'll pass on Leiter.
