Sascha Kenders
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting Kenders was a line-drive hitter when he first came up, but over the last few years has become more of a true home-run hitter, lofting more high flyballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. His home runs tend to come on balls that he can pull down the left-field line.
Baserunning & Defense He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. Kenders has one of the strongest arms among catchers. Kenders doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a handful of bases each season without getting caught very often.
