Hitting
Jones never has been a patient hitter. Let's face facts: Jones hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. He rarely pulls pitches, preferring to shoot line drives to left-center.

Baserunning & Defense
Jones isn't a fluid first baseman, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is a weapon that ranks in the top five in the league. Jones has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner.
