Kenny Jones
Starting Pitcher | London Clash
Pitching Jones can get into trouble with walks, and there's concern about him being able to maintain his stuff over the whole season. His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. His stuff becomes less sharp as he gets into the late innings. The running movement on his pitches makes life tougher on lefties than righties. It's hard to explain but Kenny Jones plays much better on the road then he does at home.
Defense & Hitting Though he lacks a good pickoff move, he checks the running game with a compact stretch delivery. Jones has been regarded as a poor fielder throughout his career, and last year was no different. Jones is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Jones has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The London Clash have been known to use Jones as a pinch-runner on occasion.
