Jim Jones
Shortstop | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
Jones never has been a patient hitter. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Jim Jones to pull the ball.

Baserunning & Defense
Jones isn't a fluid shortstop, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. Jones isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.

2014 Outlook
If Jones doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
