Hitting
He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. He rarely pulls pitches, preferring to shoot line drives to right-center.

Baserunning & Defense
Johnson is one of the fastest players in the game and the majority of his stolen bases are the result of his pure speed. He continues to improve at reading pitchers and getting good jumps. Johnson isn't a fluid center fielder, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough.
