Blaine Joa
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
In past seasons, Joa has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Joa is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Joa when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is well above average both in strength and accuracy. Joa is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.

2014 Outlook
One has to wonder what Blaine Joa is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors.
