Erik Hughes
Left Fielder | Free Agents

Hitting
He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Erik Hughes to pull the ball.

Baserunning & Defense
Hughes isn't a fluid left fielder, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. Runners take advantage of his weak arm. Hughes doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often.
