Randy Hockette
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Hockette always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Hockette when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.
Baserunning & Defense He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. His arm is accurate enough. He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical.
