This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Heptinstall always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Free Agents do tend to sit Heptinstall when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
His arm and range are average, and he has a tendency to get lazy with his feet. He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal.
