Let's face facts: Hemond hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Harvey Hemond to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
Hemond isn't a fluid catcher, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. He has a strong, accurate arm. Hemond has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner.

2014 Outlook
If Hemond doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
