Pitching
He's a good late inning man, which is when being a pitcher really counts. Hayes can get into trouble with walks, and there's concern about him being able to maintain his stuff over the whole season. Hayes also has a decent changeup. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.

Defense & Hitting
Hayes is nothing special in the field. Hayes doesn't make much of an attempt to combat the running game. Basestealers ran at will last year. Hayes is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Hayes has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Free Agents have been known to use Hayes as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2014 Outlook
I just don't know if The Free Agents are ever going to get what they expect out of him.
