John Hawkins
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Pitching
Hawkins can get into trouble with walks, and there's concern about him being able to maintain his stuff over the whole season. His stuff becomes less sharp as he gets into the late innings. Never a hard thrower, Hawkins now has games when he can't hit 85 MPH with his fastball. He traditionally fares better against lefties.

Defense & Hitting
His pickoff move is merely average. Hawkins is nothing special in the field. Hawkins is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Hawkins has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Hawkins as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2014 Outlook
If Hawkins doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors. I just don't know if The Retired or Inactive Players are ever going to get what they expect out of him.
