Pitching
His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. The Free Agents hope he can work on his control a little bit. Every once and a while one slips away from him and either ends up at the backstop or in the right field bleachers. Sometimes I wish he'd just give up on throwing the changeup, it's like a BP ball! The running movement on his pitches makes life tougher on lefties than righties.

Defense & Hitting
Basestealers rarely test him. Goodson seems distracted after his delivery. He's sometimes out of position, fails to cover a base or doesn't back up throws. Goodson is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Goodson has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Free Agents have been known to use Goodson as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2014 Outlook
It's really a shame he hasn't caught on somewhere. He might be a decent addition to someone's bench.
