Lee Goldsmith
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
Goldsmith never has been a patient hitter. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Goldsmith when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. He rarely pulls pitches, preferring to shoot line drives to left-center.

Baserunning & Defense
He might not deliver for you at the plate, but Goldsmith can certainly deliver in the field. He is an exceptional fielder. His arm is accurate enough. Goldsmith isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.

2014 Outlook
If Goldsmith doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
