Gaule never has been a patient hitter. Gaule always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
He's an adequate shortstops who is helped by his experience. His arm is accurate enough. Gaule isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.
