John Foxx
Relief Pitcher | Free Agents
Pitching Foxx also has a solid changeup that he'll use at any point in the count. If you're going in to face Foxx, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. You know, some times I think I can throw harder than Foxx, and that's saying a lot. The one thing I must say I don't like about Foxx is how easily rattled he gets. If he makes a mistake to a hitter and the guy winds up on second or third, you can pretty much count on the guy scoring. He's almost as effective against lefthanders as he is versus righthanders.
Defense & Hitting He isn't especially quick off the mound but generally fields his position adequately. His move to first base continues to be erratic, resulting in poor throws at times. Foxx is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Foxx has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Free Agents have been known to use Foxx as a pinch-runner on occasion.
2014 Outlook But if you ask me, I'll pass on Foxx.
