Don't be surprised if The Edinburgh Plaid Sox's manager sits Earlywine when you throw your ace lefty. For some reason, he just can't figure out the southpaw.

Baserunning & Defense
He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. Asem's arm leaves a little to be a desired. Earlywine doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often.

2014 Outlook
In two full big league seasons, Earlywine already has done more than what scouts projected when he came out of college.
