Harry Dukes
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Let's face facts: Dukes hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Harry Dukes to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Dukes you're not putting him in for his glove. Runners take advantage of his weak arm. Dukes isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.
