Charlie Dietz

Hitting
The book on Dietz is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Dietz always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Minor league scouts have accused Dietz of being a liability in the field. Runners take advantage of his weak arm. Dietz isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.
