Dave Davidson
Center Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. But Dave's detracters are quick to call attention to his ongoing struggles at the plate with men on base. Davidson always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him.
Baserunning & Defense He has the tools to play all three outfield positions. His arm is accurate enough. He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal.
