This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. But Bud's detracters are quick to call attention to his ongoing struggles at the plate with men on base. Let's face facts: Curran hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Bud Curran to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Curran you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough. Curran has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner.
