Crooks never has been a patient hitter. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. The switch-hitting Crooks remains more effective from the left side.

Baserunning & Defense
Crooks isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. When you play Crooks you're not putting him in for his glove. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.
