He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Conell always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Free Agents do tend to sit Conell when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal. Conell doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. His arm is accurate enough.
